Purpose

The main purpose of the APC is to promote unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons and to promote a positive image in the Atlanta area and throughout the Southeastern United States through community activities and services.

Mission

The main mission of the APC is to provide lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons with cultural and educational programs and activities which enhance mental and physical health, provide social support, and foster an awareness of the past and present contributions of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered persons, through community activities and services, including an annual Pride event.

Become A Part Of PRIDE!

The Atlanta PRIDE Committee is always looking for new, and energetic team members, Most folks volunteer for a four hour shift as a YELLOW Shirt for their first festival year to get the sense of the organization. Registration for general volunteers will open on line in March of 2009.

If you feel you have something to help make a difference at the Festival Committee Level for PRIDE 2009 please drop a line to our VOLUNTEER COORDINATORS and they will forward your info to our management team.
