Load In/Out Instructions

The Atlanta PRIDE Committee welcomes you to the 38th Atlanta PRIDE Festival (July 4-6, 2008). We are pleased that you are joining us and hope that you have a great experience at this event.

NEW THIS YEAR FOR THE PRIDE MARKET

• Outdoor AND indoor marketplace – With the new venue, we will host vendors inside as well as outside. Regardless of your placement, you will be provided with top service from our Market Team Members.
• Thursday Load IN – Because there will be no patrons on the festival grounds, anyone loading in on Thursday will be guided by a market team member and allowed to drive directly to their booth space. While indoor vendors can’t drive to their booths, they will have access to market team members with golf carts. • Increased Security – Each night, the venue will be completely cleared out and no one, except our police officers will be on site. With the ability to close and lock gates, out venue will be more secure than ever. The market will remain lit throughout the night with police officers patrolling the grounds. We still recommend vendors take measures to secure their property, in case you do not arrive the next day before the event opens.

SECURITY TIPS

While our grounds will be locked down every night at the close of the event, it’s still important to take steps to secure your items. The Atlanta Pride Committee can’t be responsible for lost or stolen goods, so consider these measures for the weekend:

• A good rule of thumb: IF YOU CAN PICK SOMETHING UP AND EASILY WALK AWAY WITH IT, SO CAN SOMEONE ELSE.
• Take smaller, valuable items out with you each night if you don’t have an alternative way to secure them.
• Don’t leave cash bags or boxes over night or unattended in your booth during the day.
• Even during the event, it is a good idea to keep more valuable items behind you, and not out on a table where someone can “grab and go."
• Two great ways our vendors have secured their items over night:
• Trunks or large containers with locks
• Tarps and bungee cords to wrap their items on the tables

Load in: 2:30pm – 5pm

Vendors will not be able to drive up to booth for load in/load out.

Sunday, July 6

Load in: 8am – 10:30am
Load out: 8pm
Vendors will not be able to drive up to booth for load in/load out.

WHAT DO I DO?

• Arrive at the Civic Center during the designated time frame above. Entrance is Piedmont Ave NE & Pine St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. Market Team members will direct you from there. We recommend using google maps for driving directions.
• Print the Market Vendor Waiver Form, Sign, and bring with you to the venue. You will be asked for this upon arrival.
• In Exchange for your Waiver, you will receive an access pass for load in, as well as a parking pass (off site) for the weekend. Only 1 access pass & 1 parking pass will be given per booth. Sorry! We won’t have any extras.
• The Market Team will help you locate your booth and load in your items.
• Your Vendor Parking Pass is good for the Colony Square Parking Deck. Our Vendors will have a reserved section Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Don’t worry about the distance from the festival; a shuttle will begin running on Friday at 4pm, Saturday at 9am, and Sunday at 9am.
